recordJet Passengers Milky Chance Sweep up Gold in the US

500,000 digital sales and streams for "Stolen Dance"; Rare overseas success for German musicians; First US TV appearance on Jimmy Kimmel

Berlin, Germany, October 18, 2014 --(PR.com)-- They have reached warp speed and are unstoppable. The triumphant march of recordJet passengers Milky Chance has now reached the US, and continues unabated. High school graduates Clemens Rehbein and Philipp Dausch, aka Milky Chance, recently received a gold disc for over 500,000 digital sales and streams of their debut single "Stolen Dance".

On October 22, the band, who are on the specially-founded, Kassel-based label Lichtdicht Records, will have their first appearance on US television in front of millions of viewers - the talk show "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" is one of the most successful late-night shows in the US.

"Milky Chance have proven once again that age is only a number when it comes to the music business. They have surpassed themselves. Yesterday graduates, today globally successful musicians, and they've stayed grounded the entire time. We are incredibly proud of our most successful on board passengers," summarized recordJet Captain Jorin Zschiesche and his Chihuahua (Junior Captain). The cockpit Chihuahua was also given an extra treat to celebrate the day.

In August 2013, Milky Chance first landed in the German singles charts (number 98) with "Stolen Dance." In May 2013, the band was chosen as "recordJet Passenger of the Month." Milky Chance have been showered with further gold and platinum awards in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Holland, Ireland, France, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
