)-- Dr. Cynthia Cooper was asked to speak about “Optimal Health for the Menopausal Woman” on WFEA 1370 on September 24, 2014. The weekly talk show, “On Call with the New Hampshire Medical Society” features top NH physicians who give the most up-to-date medical advice in their areas of expertise. The shows are interactive, and listeners call in with questions. Dr. Cooper spoke about the various issues facing women in menopause. She discussed menopausal changes including hot flashes, night sweats and vaginal dryness, and the various hormonal and nonhormonal options available. She also spoke on topics including urinary incontinence and the signs and symptoms of uterine and pelvic prolapse. Finally she tackled the difficult problem of weight management in menopause.
