Children’s Book Authors Give 100,000 On-Line Animated Books to Raise Money for the Southern California Fire Victims

San Diego, CA, November 03, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Authors Gretchen Schomer Wendel and Adam Schomer donate 100,000 on-line animated books to raise money for the Southern California Fire Victims. The book they are releasing on-line is not expected in stores until Sept. 2008. The title is “Becka and the Big Bubble, Becka goes to San Diego.” Lovable children’s book character, Becka, braves new adventures as she heads this time to San Diego. An acclaimed children’s book collection, "Becka and the Big Bubble" is a rhyming picture book about a confident girl who floats on magic bubbles to visit new and interesting places to experience different cultures and learn life lessons.

“Giving and playing is what Becka is all about. So we are giving away over 100,000 digital and animated books in the commitment to raise that same amount of money for charities,” says Author Adam Schomer.

“Becka goes to San Diego” was already produced and ready for publishing in 2008 so the authors decided to give it away early to help charities raise money. The “Becka Brigade”, like a brigade of firefighters, gives you links to help established and respected charities and in good faith allows you to easily download the animated and digital versions of the book. www.BeckaBrigade.com or www.bbBubble.com/brigade.html

The first four titles (Becka goes to India, San Francisco, The North Pole, and All Around Town) are available for purchase (SRP: $11.99) at Barnes & Noble and Borders Books and customers can order the books online through Amazon, Wal-Mart, and Target.

In addition, the entire “Becka” series has been selected by the NBA Golden State Warriors basketball team in Oakland, CA for their outreach program and recently accepted by the San Diego Library where 33 branches will carry the books.
