Pi Dental Center VP for Marketing Nominated 2015 Man of the Year

Fort Washington, PA, October 24, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Pi Dental Center of Fort Washington has announced that Jake Verterano, VP for Marketing, has been nominated for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2015 Man of the Year.

Each year, in communities across the country, dynamic, passionate candidates engage in a spirited competition to earn LLS’s Man & Woman of the Year titles by raising funds for blood cancer research. The candidates compete in honor of children who are local blood cancer survivors, the Boy and Girl of the Year. Every dollar counts as one vote and the titles are awarded to the man and woman with the most votes at the end of ten weeks. The top local fundraisers in the country win the national titles. To date, these dedicated leaders have helped LLS invest almost one billion dollars in research to advance breakthrough therapies that are saving lives today.

Verterano will inaugurate a series of creative fundraising opportunities during the ten-week campaign to benefit LLS as he competes for the naming of Man of the Year. His nomination is the result of past financial and visible energetic support of research for blood cancers.

Pi Dental Center is a comprehensive dental care institution serving patients with all needs from family dentistry to complex dental implant restorations. With three board certified prosthodontists at the helm, Pi is both a teaching and a research institute in addition to a clinical treatment center. Verterano serves as VP for marketing and embodies the whole body wellness philosophy of the “thirty-something” Pi team.
