Kamuela, HI, October 24, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Leading real estate website LuxuryBigIsland.com invites residents and visitors as one of the luxury neighborhoods on the Big Island of Hawaii hosts its local version of the famous German festival Oktoberfest: the Kona Rocktoberfest.

Held every year in Munich, Bavaria, in Germany, Oktoberfest is the world’s largest fair, where millions of litres of beer are served along with traditional Bavarian food, such as roast chicken (Hendl) or pork (Schweinebraten), with a side of sauerkraut and bread dumplings.

The Hawaii version, on the other hand, happens this October 25, 2014 from 5:30 to 9:30pm at the King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel's Lua`u Grounds. Like its German counterpart, this event promises a night of great live music, and of course, the star of Oktoberfests held across the globe: German beer.

“Hawaii is one of the best places in the world to celebrate Oktoberfest. Festival-goers will be treated to the Aloha State’s mesmerizing beauty and its exhilarating community vibe. We invite all people to come and experience this spectacular yearly event!” shared Harold Clarke, founder of LuxuryBigIsland.com, owner of Windermere/C and H Properties, and award-winning expert of Hawaii luxury real estate.

Slated to perform at the Kona Rocktoberfest are Leche de Tigre, who are known for their Latin gypsy funk music; Sudden Rush, who will delight the audience with Hawaiian rap and roll, and Alohahas, who will deliver improv comedy.

Meanwhile, on the beverage list would be German and domestic beers including Samuel Adams Octoberfest, Heineken Golden Lager, Erdinger Weisbier Hefeweizen, and Sierra Nevada Kellerweis Hefeweizen. These top-class beers will be complemented by treats that are a nod to the Bavarian origin of Oktoberfest: Bavarian-style soft pretzels, Knockwurst sandwiches with mustard and slaw, and Bratwurst corn dogs.

In addition, attendees can participate in a $500 costume competition, and bring home an 18 oz souvenir beer stein.
