Electro Standards Laboratories Adds Model 7180 Dual Channel, 2-Position Switch to Their BNC Audio Switch Line-up

Model 7180 is a 2-Channel BNC Switch that supports 50 Ohm impedance and has the capability of simultaneously switching both channels between Online and Offline positions via front panel pushbutton or via Contact Closure Remote control.

Cranston, RI, October 30, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Electro Standards Laboratories introduces Model 7180 BNC 50 Ohm Switch featuring simultaneous switching to Online or Offline positions via a Manual Pushbutton and Contact Closure Remote Control. DB9 Remote port allows offsite monitoring and Switch management via Contact Closure Signals.

The Model 7180 is designed to support the switching of Audio applications by sharing a single BNC interface device among 2 other devices via an Online or Offline connection. Both the Center and Shell of the BNC interface are switched via break-before-make electromechanical relays and the switch ports are transparent to all data. All BNC ports are impedance matched to support 50 Ohm equipment.

The Model 7180 features both local and remote control of the switch. A pushbutton on front panel can be used to simultaneously control the position of both channels from Offline to Online or visa versa. Remote control of the positions can be accomplished via the DB9 port with Contact Closure Signals. Upon power up, the unit switches based on state of Contact Closure.
