YA Fantasy Novel "Sceadu" Releases on Nov 10, 2014

Crossword Book Awards finalist Prashant Pinge takes you on a journey inside your shadow.

Mumbai, India, November 05, 2014 --(PR.com)-- "Sceadu," a young adult fantasy novel by Crossword Book Awards finalist Prashant Pinge, will be launched globally on Nov 10, 2014. The book has generated considerable attention over the past few months, thanks to an innovative promotional campaign along with some fantastic reviews. The book, which brilliantly weaves together elements of psychology, mythology and fantasy, shall be available on Amazon and other popular online book stores.

“The YA fantasy genre has always been a favourite of mine,” says Prashant. “But I wanted to craft a fantasy that was believable. And that is exactly what I have done with 'Sceadu'.” The story begins with a nine year old girl, Matilda, coming into possession of a century old book through a series of strange coincidences. She promptly disappears, forcing her brother and cousins to suspend their own hostilities and pursue her to Sceadu, a land inside their shadows. And thus starts their adventure.

According to Himanjali Sankar, Editor at Bloomsbury India, “Prashant Pinge masterfully reels in psychology and mythology to create and validate a shadow land replete with faeries, imps and other fantastical creatures but often in ways that are unusual and not conventional.” Lois Henderson of BookPleasures.com says, “'Sceadu' is such a worthwhile and invigorating read that it is quite likely to spawn a cult following, who will soon be asking for more stories in the same vein.”

“This book isn’t only meant to thrill,” says Prashant. “I guarantee you will see your shadows in a completely different light after reading 'Sceadu'.”

"Sceadu" releases on Nov 10, 2014.
