)-- The Virginia Veterinary Medical Association (VVMA) has announced that it will co-host the 2014 Potomac Regional Veterinary Conference (PRVC), to be held Friday, Nov. 7 through Sunday, Nov. 9 at the Hyatt Regency Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Maryland. The conference will be hosted in partnership with the District of Columbia, Maryland and West Virginia Veterinary Medical Associations and the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. More than 200 veterinarians from the Potomac region will gather for two-and-a-half days of continuing education classes and seminars. Featured speakers will address small animal, equine and public practice topics for 18 hours of education credits in each category – a combined 54 hours of continuing education throughout the weekend. New to this year’s conference will be seven-hour education tracks in practice management and technician education.
As the conference enters its fourth year, Conference Chair Kris Evans attests to the bonds that have been developed from its growing success. Evans notes a newly active engagement between state associations that includes sharing information and resources for the betterment of the veterinary practice. This collaborative weekend promises to deliver exceptional speakers from across the country and strengthened ties across Potomac Region veterinary establishments. Sponsors for the event include Access National Bank, Elanco, Merial, Novartis Animal Health, Purina, Zoetis, CVCA, Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Center, Antech, Nutramax Laboratories, Simmons Mid-Atlantic.
