Optek Music Systems Announces Major Expansion

Relocates Corporate Headquarters to Better Meet Demand

Reno, NV, November 06, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Optek Music Systems, Inc., a leading company dedicated to the development of interactive musical instruments, today announced that as a result of the company’s growth and increasing demand for its Fretlight interactive guitar learning system, the company has relocated its corporate headquarters to Reno, Nevada. The company comes to Reno from New Hampshire and as a part of the move has added several additional employees and moved into a newly renovated office and warehouse space.

“In the last two years, demand for our Fretlight line of guitars and software solutions has skyrocketed as consumers seek a better way to learn how to play the guitar,” said Rusty Shaffer, President & CEO of Optek Music Systems. “We evaluated a number of options on the East Coast, but Reno’s dry, wood-friendly climate, close proximity to the strong West Coast music scene and Northern California shipping ports made Reno an attractive home city for us.”

The company has also added several new administrative and warehouse employees. The new corporate headquarters consists of a 5,500 square foot office and warehouse space and is located in the Dermody Air Center at 4750 Longley Lane in Reno.

The FG-400 Series Fretlight Guitar enables beginner, intermediate, and advanced guitarists to learn chords, scales, and songs from a series of LED lights embedded in the guitar’s fretboard, which signify where the user’s fingers should be placed. Connected via the USB port of a standard Windows PC and driven by a selection of educational software titles such as Fretlight Lesson Player and Improviser, the Fretlight guitar allows users to learn, memorize, and play a wide variety of rhythm and lead guitar styles. With the ability to learn and create guitar music at the user’s individual pace, the Fretlight interactive system is designed to help players at every level.
