Charlene’s Home Cooking Sponsors Thanksgiving Dinner for 12 Families from Spartanburg County District 6 Schools

Spartanburg, SC, November 17, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Charlene’s Home Cooking understands the value of sharing a good meal with family. Unfortunately some families will struggle this Thanksgiving, so the Charlene’s Home Cooking family want to share the joy of food and fellowship with 12 area deserving families.

Officials from 4 Spartanburg County District 6 schools; Jesse Bobo Elementary, Anderson Mill Elementary, Roebuck Elementary and R P Dawkins Middle each selected 3 families. On the day before Thanksgiving or the day of, each of the 12 families can pick up their feast that will include a whole turkey, 3 homemade side dishes, bread and a gallon of tea. In the cases where pick is not possible the meals will be delivered.

This year the owner’s of Charlene’s Home Cooking, Mike & Charlene Davis, marked the restaurant’s two year anniversary of serving great home cooked meals in the Spartanburg area. To express their gratitude for the overwhelming response from the community and to carry on the long held family tradition of feeding others, the owners are excited to make this announcement.
