Accedian Selected by FiberTower for Service Assurance of Ethernet-Based Backhaul

Montreal, Canada, November 07, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Accedian Networks Inc., a leading provider of Service Assurance solutions and Ethernet Demarcation Devices, today announced that FiberTower Corporation (NASDAQ: FTWR) has selected and deployed the Company’s EtherNID™ SLA-Meter™ platform to measure performance and assure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) on its Ethernet-based backhaul network. FiberTower, a leading alternative provider of backhaul services for wireless carriers, chose Accedian’s Ethernet Service Assurance Platform to monitor SLA parameters end-to-end in a multi-point environment.

The Accedian EtherNID™ family allows backhaul service providers to guarantee stringent Ethernet SLA parameters between each Base Station and the Mobile Switching Centers, a key requirement in the intensive rollout of 3G and WiMAX service initiatives currently taking place in the US.

All of this is achieved across (up to) 100 simultaneous customer traffic streams, with an ultra-precise one microsecond resolution in an end-to-end, multi-point fashion.
