Informative Research Introduces New Spanish Report Feature

Garden Grove, CA, November 10, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Informative Research has introduced a new online feature that allows mortgage professionals to view credit reports in Spanish. The feature is available at no additional cost with regular credit report orders, and it can be accessed through the company's Website.

The new Spanish report feature, which employs an accurate, proprietary translation engine, is designed specifically for mortgage credit reporting applications. Its development and integration into the existing Informative Research Web-based credit system was a "proactive response" to an increasing demand from Spanish-speaking mortgage professionals, the company said.

"More and more frequently, our customers were telling us that this would be a valuable tool," Informative Research Information Systems Assistant VP Berta Lipovac explained. "The mortgage originators we serve expressed a desire to use this translation as a means to increase their level of service, build rapport, and improve understanding and communication with their Spanish-speaking borrowers. We listened, and we developed the capability to generate two different 'views' of the same report -- one in English, and one in Spanish."

According to Lipovac, the new Spanish report feature requires no additional software or plug-ins. Originators with Informative Research accounts simply follow the normal process of online credit report ordering, and choose a language viewing option at the end of that process. Users selecting Spanish are presented with a professionally formatted credit report, in .pdf or plain text format, that has been translated from English into humanized, industry-specific colloquial Spanish.

"That's an important distinction," Lipovac said of the extensive proofreading, checking and regionalization that each of the translated terms underwent prior to their inclusion in the logic behind the new feature. "Those accustomed to the marginal, often nonsensical information generated by some automatic translators will be extremely pleased with our new translation feature. The results are on the mark, and in a local language that makes sense."

Citing that "relationship-building is easier when both parties are speaking the same language," Informative Research Sales Manager Joe Allison said he expects the new Spanish report feature to increase funding rates for some originators. "A broker interacting with a Spanish-speaking borrower can use this free Spanish credit report feature, present it to their client, and better illustrate to that client the technicalities of the credit report," Allison said. "Bottom line, that helps the broker provide better service. And better service gets more business."

With the Spanish report feature rollout complete, Allison said the company will be developing similar features that will allow Informative Research customers to view borrower reports in other languages, including Vietnamese, Mandarin Chinese, and Korean.
