BringChivalryBack.com Awards Its "Chivalry Role Model of the Month" to Basketball Superstar Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers

For demonstrating chivalrous behavior thus serving as a positive role model for young men, Chris Paul, star athlete with the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers, has been awarded the honor of "Chivalry Role Model of the Month" for December, 2014. The award, presented by BringChivalryBack.com, recognizes noteworthy gestures of chivalry, grandiose or small, which demonstrate the positive impact such gestures by men can have.

Philadelphia, PA, January 02, 2015 --(PR.com)-- For publicly offering visible acts of chivalry and serving as a role model for today's young men, Chris Paul, superstar point guard for the Los Angeles Clippers, has been awarded the honor of "Chivalry Role Model of the Month" for December, 2014.

The recognition, presented by BringChivalryBack.com, recognizes noteworthy acts of chivalry, grandiose or small, which demonstrate the positive impact that chivalrous gestures by men can have.

At a number of times when Mr. Paul was escorting his wife Jada Crawley, he has been observed conducting himself with chivalry. Leaving the restaurant Cecconi's in West Hollywood on October 21, 2013, a crowd of onlookers witnessed him opening his car's passenger door for his wife to be seated. The episode was seen on video at the X17video.com website and later uploaded to YouTube.com, giving it more visibility.

Another instance of Chris Paul's chivalry was demonstrated November 10, 2014, when he was spotted entering the restaurant Craig's, also in West Hollywood. Escorting his wife Jada on a date, Mr. Paul made sure to get to the restaurant's door first and hold it open for his wife to enter. Photos of the moment appeared on websites and were shared on social media.

In an interview with the necolebitchie.com website, Chris Paul credits his upbringing in the South as the basis for his chivalry. Both he and his wife Jada point out Mr. Paul's parents as having a great marriage to which they aspire.

Relationship expert John Rasiej of BringChivalryBack.com remarks, "Chris Paul has a major following particularly among boys and young men. As such, his behavior toward women can have a big positive influence on the way many of his fans may want to act themselves. At a time when some sports stars such as Ray Rice have been the subject of news stories because of violent treatment of women, Mr. Paul's actions can serve as an important counterbalance."

Mr. Rasiej continues, "Witnessing an act of chivalry can underscore for these boys and young men the value and timelessness of such a gesture. Similarly it can been seen by girls and young women as a reminder of the more positive treatment they can seek and the kind of men who offer it."

The founder of BringChivalryBack.com, selected the "America's Got Talent" star as the awardee for how naturally the gesture was offered, without any fanfare. Having chivalry demonstrated on a national television program that appeals to young people helps spread the message in a powerful way.

BringChivalryBack.com aspires to rekindle the sincere practice of courteous behavior by men toward women. More information is available at www.BringChivalryBack.com and at the blog on that website.
