Houston, TX, January 08, 2015 --(PR.com)-- FKP Architects continues to add top talent to reinforce the firm’s architectural design and delivery team. Aaron Beasley joined FKP as Design Tech 2, bringing a diverse background to the firm – from decorated military serviceman to sculptor to architectural project coordinator.

Beasley earned his Master of Architecture degree from the Hines College of Architecture, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Arts Sculpture, Cum Laude, also from the University of Houston. Beasley was most recently project manager for museum and tradeshow projects at two Houston exhibit design firms. Prior to that, he was a project coordinator for Houston firm, Kendall/Heaton Associates. Projects included high-rise, office, mix-use, religious, theater and institutional buildings. Beasley started interning at the Barcelona-based firm, EMBT, working on design competitions and commissions, as well as on surveys for the preservation of a 10th century Benedictine monastery. Early in his career, Beasley was part of the team that won the 2006 Rice Design Alliance Design Charrette “Talking Trash,” assessing options for recycling and waste disposal in Houston.

Ronda Wang, Project Manager for TCH Woodlands Campus project, commented, “Aaron has a wonderfully rich and diverse background. As a trained sculptor, he has great understanding of materials and knows how to unite them with space and function. At the same time, he has solid design and production capabilities across a variety of project types, and will be a great asset to the FKP family.”

Prior to studying architecture, Beasley served for six years in the United States Navy as a Senior Radiation Health Technician. He managed multiple radiation health programs, monitored and supervised personnel, and served as an emergency response team member. He received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal twice.
