Campbell, California based ASE is a Smart Grid protocol technology leader and a leading manufacturer of RTU/IED protocol test equipment for the SCADA industry and communication protocol translators and front end processors.

The two companies will be attending DISTRIBUTECH 2015, the world’s largest T&D event, to be held from February 3rd to 5th in San Diego, CA. This joint endeavor will be the first time that both Kalkitech and ASE’s products are showcased on the same platform. “We are excited to be a part of DISTRIBUTECH along with ASE,” said Prasanth Gopalakrishnan.
ASE was founded in 1981 by Bill Whittemore, later joined by Jack Verson and Bob Krebsbach. ASE provided software consulting services for the SCADA Industry until 1989 and started developing the first protocol Test Set COMM/32 in 1989. The supported protocol list continued to grow, to over 100 protocols. Today ASE is one of the market leaders in protocol test sets for utility protocols with its ASE2000 product.
