Pompano Beach, FL, January 14, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Access Health®, a new magazine-style health and wellness series will feature guests from Hollister Incorporated in its second episode “Overcoming Inertia” on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 7:30 a.m. (ET/PT) on Lifetime to discuss getting more comfortable with catheters.

Access Health will educate and entertain viewers as it tackles the latest topics on cutting-edge developments and innovations in fitness, medicine and food such as women’s and children’s health, the best ways to get one’s body moving, how to prepare good-tasting and healthy meals, the newest medical practices, and plenty of tips and insights -- all to empower women and give them access to healthier living.

In this second episode, “Overcoming Inertia in Our Daily Lives”, different types of catheters will be explored. Dr. Dennis Holmes will talk with Mary Wasner, BSN, RN, and Manager, Clinical Education from Hollister Incorporated about who may need a catheter and why. Viewers will learn that using an intermittent (also known as ‘in and out’) urinary catheter is a useful way to empty the bladder and manage a bladder that is not functioning properly.

New catheter technology from Hollister, such as the VaPro™ touch free hydrophilic intermittent catheter, a ‘no touch’ catheter that is the only ready-to-use-touch free hydrophilic catheter with a protective tip and sleeve in the US today, is designed to help reduce the risk of bacterial contamination when using the catheter.

Also joining the show is Dale Spencer, a Spinal Cord Injured author and speaker, and consultant for Hollister, who shares his personal story of dealing with this issue every day. Dale also talks about support he received after enrolling in Hollister Secure Start™ services. To learn more, please go to: www.hollisterpeoplefirst.com/securestart.

Access Health is unique in that at the top of each 30-minute episode, a topic is presented, and after a roundtable discussion, a panel of three renowned experts in their fields -- fitness guru Dave Sinclair, medical expert Dr. Dennis Holmes and nutritionist and Chef Janet Zappala – come together at the table to offer their in-depth knowledge and insights into health and wellness issues of the day.

Access Health was created by O2 Media, producers of the long-running branded entertainment shows The Balancing Act®, Designing Spaces™, Mission Makeover™, and All Mixed Up™ all currently airing on Lifetime.
