Audio Tips for Editors at the January Editors' Lounge

From Media Composer to ProTools: How to Get the Best Out of Your Audio

Burbank, CA, January 16, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The Editors’ Lounge returns Friday, January 30 with a special focus on audio, particularly geared towards video editors. From NLEs to Pro Tools, attendees will learn how to get the best out of their audio. The event will be held at AlphaDogs Post Production 1612 W. Veteran audio mixer Erik Valenzuela will be presenting a look at how editors should manage their projects for a seamless handover to an audio mix session. Of particular note will be discussion of common pitfalls and errors in audio track assignments and audio editing decisions, and tips on how to avoid or correct them. Erik will be joined by AlphaDogs' own Curtis Fritsch for an overview of the best technical practices for delivering project assets for a ProTools mix.

Scott Wood, Avid ProAudio Sr. Solutions Specialist, will also stop by the Lounge to talk about a number of audio topics, including a look at Media Composer's built-in audio tools and plug-in capabilities, identifying common audio challenges and understanding when advanced audio systems like ProTools are needed, and using pro audio control surfaces.

The Editors’ Lounge offers the opportunity to learn from post-production industry peers and networking with new and old friends.
