Silent Sleep to Debut Second Studio Album, Distributed by Really Epic Dog, at 2015 Sundance Film Festival

Album “Stay The Night, Stay The Morning Too” Available to More Than 80 Music Services Through Unique Distribution Strategy

Salt Lake City, UT, January 22, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Really Epic Dog, the Salt Lake City content licensing and entertainment technology company, has announced that it will release Liverpool-based alt-folk band Silent Sleep’s second studio album at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. The 12-track album, Stay the Night, Stay the Morning Too, will be available globally starting Monday, Jan. 19 to more than 80+ different music services, including iTunes, Spotify, Amazon Music, Xbox Music, Pandora and Simfy. On Thursday, Jan. 22, Silent Sleep will begin a 10-day mini-tour of exclusive performances for attendees of the Festival.

Wayne Scholes, CEO of Really Epic Dog and owner of partner company Red Touch Media, which has created the fastest-growing digital media content management platform in the entertainment industry, will use resources from both companies to promote and distribute the album. The decision by Christopher McIntosh, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter/producer of Silent Sleep, to sign a recording contract with Really Epic Dog as opposed to a traditional record label marks an example of how the music industry continues to evolve. Red Touch Media’s award-winning marketing team and software distribution platform allow for a unique distribution channel, as well as various retail and licensing opportunities.

In addition, Really Epic Dog has produced a full multimedia experience for the album, in which fans will be able to access a wide range of other content in addition to the studio tracks, including song demos, music videos directed by Danny Drysdale and Jason Paul Wood, lyric art, instrumentals, mini-documentaries, interactive booklets and more, via Silent Sleep’s media store.

Quotes:
“It was a natural decision to partner with Wayne Scholes to distribute Stay the Night, Stay the Morning Too,” said McIntosh. “The combined forces of both Really Epic Dog and Red Touch Media will be a huge asset, and I am so proud and excited to return to the Sundance Film Festival again this year to share the music from this new album with such an elite group of decision-makers in the entertainment industry.”

“I’ll never forget the first time I saw Silent Sleep perform. The show was brilliant, and Chris’s lyrics about his love for Liverpool hit home for me,” said Scholes. “We are so proud to have the band as part of our organization – a partnership that is possibly the first of its kind in the entertainment industry. Licensing has become an important vehicle for artists looking to reach new fans, and Silent Sleep’s music is now structured to have one-stop clearance and be quickly licensed by television, film and advertising productions.”

About Silent Sleep:
Silent Sleep is the music project of multi-instrumentalist and songwriter/producer Christopher McIntosh. The idea for Silent Sleep started while he was living in Berlin, Germany in 2010, where his songs received great local acclaim. In 2012, he returned to his hometown of Liverpool, UK to focus on his music. After a successful pledge music campaign, Silent Sleep’s first album, Walk Me To The Sea, was independently released. In Spring 2014, McIntosh returned to the studio to record Stay the Night, Stay the Morning Too. The album features an all-star cast of UK musicians including members of Wave Machines, Dan Croll, Bird, Voo, The Wombats, Vasco da Gama, Puzzle and Kill The Young. The songs chronicle different personal experiences from McIntosh’s childhood, including the departure of his father when he was a toddler and what it felt like to grow up in the shadows of The Beatles and Liverpool Football Club.
