GCFLearnFree Adds Excel Formulas Online Class

Accredited Class Offers Advanced Training for Spreadsheet Users

Raleigh, NC, January 22, 2015 --(PR.com)-- GCFLearnFree, an online-based educational organization, has added a free Excel Formulas class to its roster. The organization’s online class program covers topics in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint for 2010 and 2013 versions.

The new class is designed for Excel users who are familiar with the program but who want to improve their knowledge of writing – and better understanding – formulas. It features real-world situations and problems learners can solve to better prepare them for using these formulas at work and in real life.

“The great thing about this class is that learners can understand how to use critical thinking to find the right formula for any situation,” says Elizabeth Szypulski, GCFLearnFree’s online class program supervisor. “They can practice using a variety of formulas and functions and can even learn about some more advanced functions, such as CONCATENATE and IF.”

Another unique feature of the Excel Formulas class is that learners are not required to have Excel in order to complete the class. They can use any spreadsheet program, including Excel for Mac, Google Sheets, Numbers, Open Office, and Libre Office.

As with GCFLearnFree’s other online classes, learners completing the Excel Formulas class will earn a Certificate of Completion and continuing education units (CEUs). GCFLearnFree has been accredited as an authorized provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). As a result of its status, the organization is authorized to offer IACET CEUs for its online class program.

Learners with free GCFLearnFree accounts can register for the online class by visiting classes.gcflearnfree.org/excelformulas.
