Tel Aviv, Israel, January 23, 2015 --(PR.com
)-- Vodafone Malta Marathon 2015 will implement Pic2Go's Sponsored Race Photography service at the upcoming event - February 22nd.
The inaugural Malta Marathon was held in 1986 with 109 local and foreign participants. A half marathon was incorporated in 1989 and the number of participants grew slowly year by year. In 2009 we hit the 1,000 participants for the first time.
"By enhancing the Malta Marathon in every way possible we have made big steps over the last 5 years with each year seeing a record number of participants. This year will be no exception as there will be some 4,000 participants," says Joe Micallef – Malta Marathon Race director.
"One way in which we have greatly managed to enhance the Malta Marathon is by having introduced Pic2Go in 2013, this will be the 3rd consecutive year in which we will be using the Pic2Go service," he adds.
By using Pic2Go service - all participants of the marathon can get their Vodafone-branded Free Race Photos posted directly to their personal Facebook profile, shortly after taken.
Pic2Go technology uses special 2D barcodes on race bibs to automatically recognize bib numbers and tag race photos taken by all race photographers.
Pic2Go is sponsored by Vodafone in Malta Marathon for the 2nd year in a row - and has proven to boost the marathon sponsorship, generate Wider Reach, Deeper Engagement and Better ROI for Vodafone.
“We are excited to offer the Pic2Go service to The Malta Marathon participants for the third time! Pic2Go is all about participants sharing their greatest race experiences with their social friends – and the Malta Marathon definitely provides participants with great experiences worth sharing!” says Eitan Hefetz - Pic2Go Ltd. Founder and CEO.
