Angling For Bigger Fish: Pondip Secures Angel Investment and New Partnerships

London, United Kingdom, February 09, 2015 --( Pondip made a splash in the fishing market when they launched their unique tackle box subscription service in early 2014, reeling in a loyal subscriber base of fishing enthusiasts. The company is now set to see accelerated growth after securing seed investment and forming new key partnerships with other industry leaders.

Pondip’s new partners, the top print titles Total Carp Magazine and Coarse Fishing Answers, will combine their services to offer a unique subscription package, which will include exclusive fishing bait and tackle alongside one of these titles every month.

The Pondip team are also delighted to be welcoming fishing expert, coach and social media veteran, Leon Bartropp as a full time staff member. To celebrate the growth of their team and to formally launch the new partnerships, Pondip will be exhibiting at the biggest fishing trade show in the UK; The Big One in Farnborough on 21st & 22nd March 2015, giving attendees the opportunity to meet Leon in person and get some first-hand fishing advice.

Pondip was one of the first companies to unite the once opposing worlds of fishing and digital media by launching their online subscription service and they are now taking new strides in offering a unique package which includes all you need to increase your catch rate on the banks. With their recent seed investment, they are now able to reach even more fishing fans through further brand-awareness marketing.

The company was founded by three thirty-something fishing fanatics who were determined to dispel the theory that fishing is for retirees dressed head to toe in tweed. People all over the UK, of all ages, genders and backgrounds enjoy fishing and want access to great equipment and tackle. The ease of a monthly subscription service means you are no longer limited by location or access to the ever-dwindling fishing shops on the high street and you are now able to receive the best fishing tackle, hand-selected by the experts, delivered to your doorstep. Their intelligent online algorithm system also means that subscribers receive boxes of tackle based on the time of year and their fishing location.

Pondip will continue on their collective mission to get more people involved in urban fishing by raising awareness of all the fantastic spots to fish in around our cities. They are re-defining traditional views of fishing and making the sport easily accessible across the nation.

“We are thrilled to be making huge steps forward, with our new partnerships and the expansion of our team. With a wealth of experience in fishing and social media, Leon Bartropp will be a valuable asset to the company. The recent investment we have received will allow us to shape and grow the company in a way which will help us become industry leaders and break new ground within the fields of fishing and digital media,” said Simon Watson, CEO of Pondip.
