NARI of Greater Chicagoland Debuts New Web Site

With Enhanced Functions and Options Specific to Chicago and Suburban Homeowners

Chicago, IL, January 23, 2015 --(PR.com)-- A new remodeling resource specific to Chicago and its surrounding suburbs is now available with the recent debut of The Greater Chicagoland Chapter of NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry) web site at www.narichicago.org.

“Our new site is potentially the only Chicago area remodeling resource that provides numerous local options for homeowners to educate themselves prior to making a decision on a contractor. Site visitors have all of the tools at their disposal to plan renovation changes to their home as well as research a reputable contractor in their area,” said Mimi Altman, executive director of NARI of Greater Chicagoland (NARIGC), based in Des Plaines.

Altman encourages homeowners to arm themselves with information and explore all of their options before selecting a contractor. “A remodeling project is a long-term investment in your home; improving its value, enjoyment and livability as well as future marketability.”

Visitors are now able to search contractors with an enhanced search locator by zip code, by the number of miles from your hometown, by trade category, member name and by certified members. NARIGC also defines the many types of designations that their members can possess for consumer clarification. A photo gallery of project ideas and links to the latest remodeling news and area events can also be found.

The new site offers a wealth of information to empower consumers with video segments on topics ranging from Remodeling Project Financing to Scheduling during a Remodeling Project. There is also a catalog of audio links covering subjects such as Warning signs to Watch For and Cost vs. Value along with numerous articles featuring NARIGC members on varying consumer topics.

According to Scott Walbridge, of Marvin Windows and a past NARIGC president who chaired the website committee, “While we have had a web site for many years, we realized that our wish list was growing on exactly how we wanted our site to communicate with the public and at the same time provide value to our members.”

Following a review, the committee selected The Fort Group in New Jersey for the new site design and function. “Our site is easy to navigate, keeps consumers engaged and provides a destination for Chicago area homeowners to search for a reputable contractor and to tap into valuable information prior making a decision to remodel,” said Altman.

“At the same time, www.narichicago.org provides value to our contractor members with increased visibility by optimizing search along with enhanced listings and banner advertising,” added Walbridge.

NARIGC Members have login access to industry news, membership meetings and educational seminars. There are also member profiles and helpful resource links. Membership benefits, events and an application for membership can even be downloaded and paid for online.
