)-- Secure Islands Technologies, the leading provider of advanced Information Protection and Control (IPC) solutions, today announced its expansion into North America with the opening of its U.S. headquarters in New York City, which serves as home base for its new executive vice president of Sales, Paul Gabrik. Following a September 2014 investment from one of its customers, Credit Suisse, this expansion moves Secure Islands into the next phase of its growth as its innovative approach to securing corporate data - called Data Immunization – continues to gain momentum in North America.
Designed for use in today’s highly distributed, mobile, and borderless enterprise computing environments, Secure Islands enables organization to immunize data at the point of creation, and make this protection persist for the life of the data. Secure Island’s innovative approach ensures that even if data is lost, leaked or stolen, it is only accessible to its intended recipients. With 2014 labeled as “The Year of the Mega Breach,” Secure Islands offers a much-needed alternative to network or perimeter based approaches that are not suited for today’s corporate IT environments.
“We are excited to enter 2015 with a new US base of operations and a highly skilled and successful executive to lead our Americas sales efforts,” said Aki Eldar, CEO, Secure Islands. “Paul has a proven track record of effectively increasing sales performance across multiple market verticals and segments. We will benefit tremendously from his experience and talent as our information protection solutions continue to gain traction. Our customers tell us we have the right technology at the right time - now we’re also in the right place, with the right team, and look forward to a phenomenally successful year.”
Gabrik brings over 30 years of sales and management experience. As EVP Sales for Secure Islands, he will develop and manage Secure Islands’ sales strategies to enterprise customers in the Americas across all vertical markets, including: finance, manufacturing, healthcare, government, automotive and energy. His appointment is part of an ongoing expansion by Secure Islands into the American and European markets.
Before joining Secure Islands, Paul was Global Sales Lead Executive / Managing Partner at Accenture Software Practice. Previous roles include World Wide VP of Sales at HP Software Content Division, World Wide VP of Sales at Mercury Interactive Global Accounts Manager at McAfee.
“Secure Islands is tackling an extremely difficult problem in a very simple and elegant way,” said Paul Gabrik. “Our advanced, forward-thinking solutions offer a cure to data security pain-points of organizations that are struggling with data theft and loss and overwhelmed by the complexity of their environments. Our technology eliminates those challenges by focusing on the data itself – regardless of what device is being used, or who owns the network. Our approach is truly a game-changer, and I am excited to ignite its adoption in the Americas market.” For more information, please visit www.secureislands.com
