Acnodes’ New Haswell 4th Generation Fanless Embedded System

Chino, CA, January 24, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Acnodes Corp., a leading manufacturer of industrial and embedded computer platforms and technologies, today announced the launch of a new fanless embedded computer, FES8670. Based on the 4th generation Haswell Processor and Q87 Chipset, it features a robust fanless design and is an ideal solution for video applications, digital signage, outdoor advertising, POS/kiosks and gaming.

The FES8670 is enclosed in a rugged aluminum and heavy-duty steel chassis and is tested for deployment in temperatures from -40°F to 131°F. The FES8670 includes VGA, DisplayPort and two HDMI out video interfaces, 6 COM ports, four Gigabit LAN ports, six USB 3.0 ports, and audio for administration and software input. Moreover, the FES8670 has two DDR3 1333/1600MHz SODIMM memory maximum up to 16GB, one 2.5” SATA drive bay, one mSATA and one CFast slot for solid state storage. The FES8660 provides good expansion capability by offering two PCI Express Mini card slots and one SIM card socket allowing more efficient, seamless networking options.

Measuring only 2.75” in height, the FES8670 includes optional wall mounting brackets for easy installation on any locations where space is critical. FES8670 has a built-in Watchdog Timer to reset the system after a crash or system error, which reduces the need for maintenance. Last but not least, the FES8670 is fully compatible with the Windows Standard Embedded 7 / 8 and Linux.
