Green Alternative Systems Announces Fleet Conversion to Natural Gas Can Save $1 on Every Gallon

Green Alternative Systems (GAS) has announced that fleet conversion to natural gas can cut costs for businesses, approximately one dollar for every gallon, fueling vehicles for their transportation-based businesses.

Chino, CA, January 29, 2015 --(PR.com)-- A recent example of fleet conversion to natural gas cutting costs for businesses is at the Richmond International Airport. The airport invested in fleet conversions to natural gas for their buses and shuttles. Their fleet of 155 buses and vans will be fueled by CNG (compressed natural gas) which is also safer, more reliable and environmentally friendly. The airport became interested in CNG conversions when the city's Department of Public Utilities reported savings of 48 percent on fuel costs by converting refuse trucks to CNG. The airport ultimately made the switch to reduce costs, improve the environment and reduce noise.

Converting fleet vehicles to CNG cuts gas emissions by 20 percent and nitrogen oxide by over 80 percent. No particulates in burning gasoline or diesel means a much cleaner burning fuel. The airport estimates they'll save approximately $1 per gallon compared to diesel fuel. With the heavy run time of the vehicles, that totals between $25,000 and $50,000 per year.

Green Alternative Systems has many locations and every one of their service centers has staff members on-site that are ready to meet every client’s conversion kit and unique maintenance requirement. This is all approached with high standards in mind in terms of technical understanding and customer service. The company has recently shifted their focus to specialize in industrial CNG conversions to fulfill the demand of many vehicle-based businesses that want to switch to a cleaner burning fuel source.

Green Alternative Systems was established in 2006 to fulfill the market’s demand for industrial CNG conversions. For more information and questions about fleet conversion to natural gas and Green Alternative Systems, contact the company directly.
