WNSC to Hold Free Agricultural Health and Safety Day

Oswestry, United Kingdom, January 31, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The Walford Campus of Walford and North Shropshire College (WNSC) will be holding a free Health and Safety day for Employers, Students and Apprentices on Tuesday 17th February. There will be speakers from the NFU and the Health and Safety Executive and James Chapman, former chairman of the NFYFC, who will be discussing his farm accident.

Employers will attend an introductory talk from Charlotte Holyland, NFU Mutual Risk Management Team; there will be talks on Tractor and Machinery Safety and Spraying and Chemical Handling. Students and Apprentices will receive a talk from the former chairman of the NFYFC, James Chapman, who will be discussing his farm accident. Students and Apprentices will also have an overview of health and safety legislation, a quad bike demonstration, tractor and machinery safety, basic livestock handling and basic spray and chemical handling.

Employers who attend the Health and Safety Day will receive a Certificate of Attendance and possible NRoSO points, Students and Apprentices who attend will receive a Certificate of Attendance and credits towards the health and safety units of their courses.
