River Falls Bacon Bash to Host 2015 Super Qualifier for the World Food Championships

River Falls, WI, February 03, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The Third Annual River Falls Bacon Bash has been selected to be a 2015 Super Qualifier Elite Event for the World Food Championships, the largest and richest food competition in the world of Food Sport. Culinary champs from all walks of life, from professional chefs to home cooks, will have the chance to compete in one of four culinary competitions: Bacon, Sandwich, Chili or Dessert. This year’s competition, to be held on Saturday, September 19th, will feature up to 100 competitors facing off for glory, where 12 competitors will earn their way into the 2015 WFC main event in Kissimmee, Florida to compete against the world’s best and a piece of the $300,000 prize purse.

Similar to the championship in Kissimmee, contestants will be forced to compete against nature, a clock and a field of talented cooks from all walks of life. Prizes, trophies and a coveted Golden Ticket to compete in the Ultimate Food Fight will be awarded for the top 3 competitors in each of the 4 Bacon Bash Cook-off categories.
As part of the Super Qualifier Elite Event status, the River Falls Bacon Bash will host an E.A.T. judging class and competitor welcome reception Friday evening before the competition. The E.A.T. system is a World Food Championship proprietary method of judging the contestant’s dishes that evaluates the culinary creations based upon Execution, Appearance and Taste. Judges certified at the class are eligible to not only judge the Bacon Bash cook-off categories, but will be certified to judge at the World Food Championships in November in Florida.
