Launches Newspaper Reviews Column for Small Press Books

By arrangement with the Caterham and District Independent Bookangel will be providing reviews of small press and indie books for the February, March and April issues. is an ebook review site specialising in ebooks free in the UK, which provides a daily list of free ebooks to subscribers. The newspaper column is an offshoot from the weekly reviews newsletter, a popular feature on the site. "We hope to help small press authors reach a wider readership, and readers find new authors," one Bookangel reviewer said, "but going into print is a large step for us, so we're all understandably excited."

Set up a few years ago, with a monthly online readership of between 100,000 and 500,000 readers, is a growing British book site. The Caterham and District Independent is a popular local Surrey newspaper distributed to households and libraries. Established in 2006, it has a circulation of 22,000, and estimated readership of 45,000.
