South Nassau Communities Hospital Ad Campaign Highlights Quality, Safety Awards

The campaign aims to clearly identify the hospital and its geographic location and to familiarize viewers with its award-winning care.

Oceanside, NY, February 17, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Using the image of a spoon that “delivers” a dose of quality medicine, South Nassau Communities Hospital has launched a new, six-week advertising campaign that highlights the prestigious national honors it has received for patient safety, nursing care, quality and high-performing services.

The campaign also emphasizes that South Nassau is the only hospital on Long Island to receive the following four honors for quality and service excellence:

- U.S. News & World Report Ranking in the top 5 Long Island Hospitals

- Joint Commission Top Performer on Key Quality Measures®

- American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Magnet® recognition

- Leapfrog Group “A” Grade in Hospital Patient Safety

The honors highlighted in the campaign join a multitude of others South Nassau has earned for outstanding quality including: Get With The Guidelines Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award; Joint Commission Advanced Certification for Primary Stroke Centers; and Home Care Elite™ 500, listing South Nassau’s Home Care as one of the top home health care providers in the United States, for the ninth consecutive year.

Each advertisement in the campaign also features an updated alternative logo for South Nassau, symbolizing the hospital’s founding mission and vision of providing compassionate, high quality patient-centered health care services to the communities and patients it serves. Wax Custom Communications, a Miami, FL-based multi-channel marketing firm with offices in Louisville and San Diego, created the ads.

The campaign aims to clearly identify the hospital and its geographic location and to familiarize viewers with its award-winning care. “South Nassau is Long Island’s best-kept secret in hospitals,” added Richard Murphy, president and CEO. “We want to spread the news and let other Long Islanders in on our ‘secret’; that South Nassau delivers quality care and that we have been recognized nationally for the level of care we deliver to patients. Our staff of dedicated nurses, physicians and support personnel have done outstanding work and we are delighted that organizations like U.S. News & World Report and The Joint Commission have recognized their efforts to maintain the highest standards of patient care.”

The new ‘Quality Matters’ ad campaign includes print ads in Newsday, the Herald Community Newspapers as well as other local newspapers that service the South Shore. Radio ads also will begin airing on WCBS news radio 880, 1010 WINS, Q104.3 and KTU. Web banner ads are also part of the campaign, as are ads on Long Beach buses.
