Ventum Signs 2014 Lifetime Series Champion Alicia Kaye
Miami Beach, FL, February 14, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Alicia Kaye, the 2013 Toyota Triple Crown champion, 2013 St. Anthony’s Triathlon champion, and repeat Lifetime Fitness Series champion (2013-2014), has been named as the first triathlete on the Ventum roster. Ventum is developing the world’s fastest triathlon bicycle; it requires world-class triathletes to demonstrate the power and speed of its faster and more aerodynamic bikes.

Kaye competed in her first triathlon when she was just 11 years old. The native of Smithers, British Columbia, Canada, became a professional triathlete at the age of 14. Now 32, Kaye has competed in and won triathlons around the world. In 2013, Triathlete Magazine named Alicia as the Top American Female Triathlete.

“I am tremendously excited to be riding Ventum bicycles in 2015,” said Kaye. “I’m thrilled to work with a company whose primary goal is to make the fastest, most aerodynamic triathlon bicycle in the world; I’m even more excited to ride it. Ventum is an innovative company who isn’t satisfied with the status quo and won't hesitate to challenge the traditional design, branding and promotion of a bicycle and I’m honored to be a part of this ground-breaking company.”

This season, Kaye will race on Ventum’s first production bicycle, the Ventum One. Kaye is slated to compete in a dozen races including the Challenge Triple Crown (in Dubai, Oman, and Bahrain), the Oceanside 70.3, and St. Anthony's Triathlon.

“We are thrilled to sign Alicia to Team Ventum,” said Diaa Nour, Ventum co-founder. “She’s fresh off yet another great season. In 2014 she accumulated seven wins and a total of ten podium finishes including her first race and win at the 70.3 distance (Muskoka) and we are looking forward to her competing in and winning more 70.3 races in 2015. She’s a stellar triathlete and a perfect fit for Ventum.”
