StepHouse Recovery Launches Behavioral Bootcamp Program

The pilot program targets troubled behaviors and aims to transform enrollees into disciplined and community-oriented adults.

Fountain Valley, CA, February 18, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Addiction treatment facility StepHouse Recovery has recently announced the rollout of its behavioral modification program, which aims to help individuals struggling with disruptive attitudes and behaviors within their home, school and workplace environments. The goal of the treatment unit is to transform those enrolled into mature and disciplined adults who foster positive relationships, self-sufficiency and take responsibility for their actions.

"These behaviors may cause pain and wreak havoc for everyone involved, but are they are often signs that someone needs help in dealing with stress, inner-conflicts and at the very least, growing pains," says StepHouse Recovery Executive Director George Vilagut. "Our mission is to provide a structured environment where clients can overcome their issues and excel in life."

The program takes a holistic, multi-systemic approach, taking into account the person's family life, living environment and community, among other essential factors, when vetting behaviors and mindsets to be targeted for intervention and modification.

"We use a combination of counseling, education, disciplinary procedures and positive reinforcement to help change and address the often detrimental belief system from which the behavior originates," says Program Manager Christina Ramirez. "If we change the way someone thinks or how they perceive problems, we in turn affect the way he or she interacts with other people and experiences in everyday life."
