Emerson Hospital Streamlines Ultrasound Reporting Workflow with Digisonics Solution

Emerson Hospital will utilize the Digisonics Structured Reporting Solution for their ultrasound studies, streamlining their workflow to improve overall accuracy and reporting turnaround times.

Houston, TX, March 01, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Emerson Hospital in Concord, Mass., recently selected the Digisonics Structured Reporting System for their facility’s OB/GYN, Vascular and General Ultrasound studies. A web-based add on will allow Emerson Hospital’s users to remotely access the Digisonics Structured Reporting Solution from anywhere at anytime, adding flexibility to their workflow.

The DigiSync interface with the facility’s McKesson PACS will streamline their ultrasound reporting workflow by launching the Digisonics structured reporting software directly from McKesson. Users will have the ability to review images in the PACS system and simultaneously edit worksheets and reports in Digisonics, optimizing their time. A Report-to-PACS interface will also export a PDF copy of the worksheet or report for viewing in McKesson PACS.

Additional DataLink and HL7 interfaces will streamline connectivity between Digisonics Structured Reporting System and Emerson Hospital’s incumbent systems to create an efficient digital workflow with improved overall accuracy and turnaround times. Integration with the facility’s Philips ultrasound machines will autopopulate the patient demographics and measurements directly into the Digisonics structured reports and worksheets, reducing manual entry time and eliminating the potential for entry errors. An HL7 interface connect the Digisonics system and the hospital’s Meditech EMR for Orders In.
