Atlanta, GA, March 10, 2015 --(PR.com
)-- Denise S'llure Publishing & Production Company and its CEO, Kimberly D. Worthy, held a successful Children's Television Focus Group in Atlanta on March 7th, 2015 at Fieldworks Atlanta Market Research Facility. Participants were chosen randomly from a Electronic Qualifying Questionnaire with their ages being between the ages of 10-14, Multi-Ethnicities and Genders.
The purpose of the Focus Group was to give Pre-Teens and Young Teens the opportunity to talk openly concerning the issues that they face, such as bullying, fears, self esteem issues, etc., as their parents watched on from an undetectable two-way mirror. Information learned from the Focus Group is being used as research for Kimberly D. Worthy, as she creates the script for the new season of Denise S'llure Publishing & Production Company's Children's Television Show "Poetry & Life."
"I think it was very important to involve the parents in the Focus Group in order to give them an honest look into the minds of their children. Therefore I chose to have the parents close enough to spectate yet far enough away as not to jeopardize the validity of the information gathered. I am a firm believer that the silent agonies that many children suffer with, can undoubtedly express itself into negative actions, when the only thing many of them want, is just the opportunity to be heard. And to that I say, We are Listening!" stated Kimberly D. Worthy.
"Poetry & Life” is an Educational Scripted Children’s Half Hour T.V. Show. It is a Teen Summit meets Reading Rainbow geared toward youth ages 10-14. The show’s setting is an After School Rec Room/Hangout Spot along with the Rec Room Facilitator “Ms. Kim.” The Rec Room is a cool Non Judgmental Environment where kids talk about situations that they face everyday. The purpose of the show is to create an environment for youth that fosters healthy Creative Expressions and Therapeutic Conversations, using Poetry as a Guideline. Some of the situations that “Poetry & Life” will discuss are: bullying, parents divorcing, getting kept back, etc. The outcome of each episode is that kids will become prepared and empowered with tools and life skills that they can use to overcome such obstacles.
