Orange County, Florida - Tourist Development Tax Goes Online

Maitland, FL, November 18, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Pioneer Technology Group announced the Comptroller of Orange County, Florida, has implemented Excise, the company’s Tourist Development Tax System. Orange County began using the new system on September 10th after a successful installation.

Excise provides the public web based access to online registration and payment of the tourist development tax. The system will significantly cut down on the number of paper coupons and mail in payments that Orange County receives each month. The system is designed to increase efficiencies, improve collection efforts, and significantly improve collection float for the County. Tax payers have the ability to view account information, calculate the amount of tax due, and remit the tax online.

Orange County is the fifth County to implement Pioneer Technology Groups’ Tourist Development Tax System, other Florida counties include: Bay County, Santa Rosa County, Walton County, and Manatee County.
