Celebrities and Youth Join Hands to Rock Kindness Across the Globe

Free2Luv, a youth empowerment nonprofit, has dubbed March ROCK KINDNESS Month and celebrities and youth are holding hands to create a bully-free environment.

Seattle, WA, March 11, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Free2Luv®, an award-winning nonprofit dedicated to spreading kindness, celebrating individuality, empowering youth and standing up to bullying, has dubbed March ROCK KINDNESS Month. With their fleet of Celebrity Ambassadors and Youth Advocates across the globe, they are encouraging youth everywhere to stand up, speak out and let their voices be heard.

With the rise in teen suicides and 1 out of every 3 children experiencing some form of bullying, it is Free2Luv’s mission to reach as many communities and children as possible to spread the word that every person is perfect just the way they are. Kindness festivities kick off March 1st with a special month-long campaign to broadcast the word LUV is Stronger than Hate.

Free2Luv challenged Celebrity Ambassador, Benjamin Stockham, the teen star of NBC’s About A Boy, to design a cause-inspired tee to benefit Free2Luv’s WE CARE program that supports youth being bullied. “I like that Free2Luv supports loving who you are and loving other people for who they are. It’s all about not judging people based on how they look or what they believe. We are all individuals and that’s what we need to embrace. I encourage people to support what they believe in, and I’m thankful I’m in a position where my voice can maybe help,” says Stockham. The FRIENDS DON’T LET FRIENDS BULLY billboard campaign is another component of Free2Luv’s kindness outreach. The billboards feature Free2Luv’s Celebrity Ambassadors Mayim Bialik from The Big Bang Theory and Benjamin Stockham and are designed to invite communities to be advocates for kindness, take the pledge and commit to a bully-free future. Join us and take the pledge here http://free2luv.org/take-the-pledge/.

With over 160,000 students staying home from school every day due to bullying, Free2Luv is on a #MillionSignMission to spread awareness of this serious epidemic. Supporters around the globe are invited to take a photo with Free2Luv’s FRIENDS DON’T LET FRIENDS BULLY sign and challenge their friends to join and stand up to bullying. Print your sign here http://free2luv.org/print-your-sign/ and be part of the change.

“It’s really wonderful to witness the growth that transpires when a child who feels hopeless or helpless is empowered. When youth are supported in an accepting and safe environment, they have the opportunity to thrive and in return spread kindness to others in need. It’s beautiful,” says Co-Founder and President, Tonya Sandis.
