Korean Academy of Taekwondo Holds Grand Opening of South Branch

Littleton, CO, November 18, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Korean Academy of Taekwondo celebrated the grand opening of their South Branch location on Saturday, November 10th. Founded in 1980, the Korean Academy is one of Colorado’s oldest and most successful martial art schools. The school teaches traditional Taekwondo, Olympic Style Taekwondo, and Practical Self Defense. They also have programs for weapons techniques and their demonstration team has performed for many groups including international festivals, the City of Aurora, the Children’s Hospital, and the Denver Nuggets.

The grand opening featured a sparring class, free self defense seminars, a performance from the White Tiger Force Demonstration Team, a demonstration of Filipino martial arts, and a free barbeque. Over 100 people attended the festivities.

The school is now accepting new enrollments for students ages 3 and a half to senior citizens. Taekwondo builds confidence, discipline, and the ability to defend oneself. It is an excellent aerobic form of exercise which can contribute to sustainable weight loss and overall health. The school is also equipped with a special ‘floating floor’ which makes training safer for all ages. For more information visit www.kattaekwondo.com or call (720) 283-1377
