botiss biomaterials Presents New Product Solutions for Specific Dental Indications

Berlin, Germany, March 19, 2015 --(PR.com)-- During the IDS—the International Dentalshow in Cologne—berlin-based company botiss biomaterials GmbH has launched three innovative products: maxgraft® cortico®, a new version of the well-known mucoderm® matrix and collacone® max, an improved biomimetic composite cone. These were designed for particular dental indications such as shell, socket seal and socket preservation techniques.

maxgraft® cortico® is an allogenic bone plate that can be employed in place of autologous tissue, thus rendering the harvesting of autologous tissue unnecessary and significantly simplifying the shell technique. With the use of maxgraft® cortico®, patient’s discomfort, extraction morbidity, and operation time are significantly reduced.

mucoderm® soft tissue punch is a natural type I/III collagen matrix derived from porcine dermis that was specifically developed as an alternative to autologous soft tissue grafting for use in the socket seal technique. The closure of the alveolus with mucoderm® punch stabilizes the blood coagulum, protects the alveolus from contaminations, and supports the preservation of the soft tissue contour.

collacone® max is an innovative, biomimetic composite cone designed for socket preservation, which supports the osseous regeneration of the alveolus and prevents soft tissue collapse.

“Starting from defining the challenge and the clinical indication, botiss biomaterials pursues a path that translates findings in research and development into functional and rational solutions. Our goal is: ‘to establish innovation and to set new standards’,” explains the managing Director Dr. Drazen Tadic.
