Ridesharing and Fun Headline the RYDE and Joshua Tree Music Festival Partnership

Motorcoaches Provide Convenient, Environmentally-Friendly Access to the 13th Annual Festival

San Diego, CA, March 19, 2015 --(PR.com)-- RYDE, an innovative crowdsourcing transportation service, and Joshua Tree Music Festival have partnered to provide an affordable and efficient transportation solution to get festival attendees out to the splendor of Joshua Tree. RYDE’s motorcoaches will shuttle in fans from outlying areas to the four-day festival May 14-17 focused on music, art, yoga, family activities, and food. Fans will be able to reserve seats via RYDE’s website for a roundtrip shuttle that supports the environmental goals of the festival while helping to extend the overall attendee experience.

The Joshua Tree Music Festival is a family-friendly global music experience held in the shadows of the otherworldly Joshua Tree National Park. In addition to live music from around the world, the festival features an action packed Kidsville, Yoga from sunrise to sunset, magical Visual Arts, 27 different musical playshops, and a robust World Market.

“We love the community and family-friendly vibe of the Joshua Tree Music Festival, and the whole idea of RYDE fits in with their strong green initiatives,” said Brian Allman, CEO of RYDE. “Ridesharing creates its own sense of community as our shuttles are a rolling social gathering of sorts, and RYDE helps take the driving hassle and parking expense out of the equation to maximize the overall experience.”

“RYDE is a natural extension of our desire to blend all the unique components of the Joshua Tree Music Festival and let the fans enjoy every aspect of this intimate setting,” stated Barnett English, Founder, Joshua Tree Music Festival. “Partnering with RYDE to offer our fans a comfortable, affordable ‘carpooling’ experience helps us reduce the environmental impact of our event while also allowing us to show that fun and safety are top priorities.”

In this partnership, RYDE will shuttle fans from San Diego (including targeted youth hostels), Los Angeles, and the Bay Area and deliver them directly to the Joshua Tree Music Festival. RYDEs may be one way or roundtrip, and will return fans to their embarking location the Monday following the festival. The motorcoach rides may include two stops on the same route to ensure a full RYDE and maximize the environmental benefits. Fans may also purchase Joshua Tree Music Festival tickets on the RYDE site.

The success of each shuttle RYDE relies on encouraging ticketed passengers to utilize social media and word of mouth in spreading the word about the RYDE to friends and family. The motorcoach must reach a critical mass of passengers – called the crowdtilt – to ensure that the shuttle will reach a passenger threshold that makes the RYDE economically and environmentally viable. Using this crowdsource model helps infuse the RYDE with greater fun and entertainment as like-minded event-goers band together.

About Joshua Tree Music Festival
The Joshua Tree Music Festivals are produced by a family of friends and funsters convinced that music is the soul of life, and that art enriches and saves lives. The Festivals are intimate, community-centric, artistically infused, and highly participatory affairs. They capture the DIY funkiness of the high desert, turning rusted junk into striking art, old trailers into stages, and a shaded stretch of campground on the outskirts of the infamous national park into a family friendly global music experience.
