)-- After a soft launch on the 360 Mobile Assistant app store that has reached over 1 million downloads, Tap Titans is available across the top Chinese app stores, including the Xiaomi App Store, Tencent Myapp, and Wandoujia.
Mark Wang, Game Hive's CEO, said, “China is a big opportunity for Tap Titans, we are very excited to break into this market with Oniix.”
“We are thrilled to work with such an impressive studio and title,” said Oniix’s Head of Publishing Everett Wallace, “Tap Titans is an excellent fit for China: it’s a fast-paced and addictive game that has great potential for a long-term and multi-faceted localization approach.”
Wallace added: “Seeing as Android accounts for a substantial share of mobile gaming revenue, games need to be on Android to reap the benefits of the Chinese market. However, since developers aren’t able to collect revenue through Google Play in China, it’s crucial to publish on local third-party app stores.”
Different elements of the original game were modified in order to fit the market and gamer preferences, including visuals, user interface and monetization. The game will be regularly updated with new content and game modes that are further localized for China. The original launch on 360 Mobile Assistant coincided with the Chinese New Year and was featured as a “Best New Game.”
