An Anthology of a Year in Ink of Creative Work by San Diego Writers Will be Showcased at a Reading on April 14, 2015

San Diego, CA, April 02, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Supporters of the San Diego creative writing community are encouraged to come out to the Annual Anthology Release Party presented by San Diego Writers, Ink at 7 p.m. on April 14, 2015 at Cygnet Theater in Old Town. Authors who were blind chosen for their superior work from hundreds of submissions will be reading from their winning entries.

The Volume 8 A Year in Ink was edited by Tony-nominated urban poet reg e gaines and Dean Nelson, Director of the Journalism Program at Point Loma Nazarene University. The cover features an original painting from San Diego artist, Margaret Larlham. This effort is a collaboration of academics and urban work coming together.

San Diego Writers, Ink will present local authors in the creative work of both prose and poetry. Every year San Diego Writers, Ink is one of the first places for writers to have their work discovered with many going on to be published in other places.

The release party will include authors reading from the published pieces as well as time to mingle with the literary crowd and enjoy refreshments. Copies of the 2015 Anthology will be available for purchase at the event. A Year in Ink has, in previous years, been nominated or won the San Diego Book Awards for best anthology and SDWI thinks this new book continues its high quality selection of local prose and poetry.
