Sankalp Smart School conducts Sankalp 2015 - Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship, Regional Round Competition.

Mumbai, India, April 06, 2015 --( Sankalp Smart School, a brand of Veloces Consulting Services Private Limited the organising body of Sankalp 2015 - Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship had launched the competition along with Certiport Inc., in various locations across the country in early Dec. 2014. The Regional Round - Mumbai, was conducted at Bombay Cambridge School, Andheri (East), Mumbai Maharashtra on 22nd February 2015 and on 29th March 2015 at New Horizon Public School, Airoli, Navi Mumbai respectively where more than 200 Students participating from various schools in Mumbai. Students are allowed the choice to select from one or more of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel or Power Point in this competition. This regional level of the competition, tests the task based skills and expertise on these Microsoft Applications. In addition to providing a global platform for students, this competition also gives an opportunity to be recognised as a Microsoft Certified Office Specialist, an internationally recognised credential on clearing the first round of the competition. Through this competition Sankalp Smart School aims to reach out 300+ schools and 20000+ students to identify the India Champion to represent India in the World Championship where students from across 100+ countries in the world would be participating.

Last year (2014) witnessed a proud Indian, where a 13 year old Arjit Kansal won the Championship at Disney’s Grand California Hotel in Anaheim, CA, U.S.A. in Power Point 2010. The final leg of this year’s competition is scheduled to be held in Texas from the 9th to the 12th of August 2015. The objective of this competition is to provide the students of various schools in India a platform to showcase their digital literacy skills and expertise to compete on a global platform. A recognition as a specialist in Microsoft Office Skills has been regarded and recognized as one of the core skills for the students in the IT Curriculum in schools.
