Vitex Will Introduce the 4K Capable Portable Broadcasting Transport System at the NAB Show in April

Ridgefield Park, NJ, April 11, 2015 --(PR.com)-- It seems like yesterday everyone started the shift into the 1080p world and high definition televisions were being brought into the market for the first time. Broadcasting companies, industries, and consumers all wanted to join the transition. The fact is, it was around 2005 when the market started to see the new move into the high definition world, and now it's starting all over again with 4k.

Vitex has introduced a product called the PBTS. The PBTS, which stands for Portable Broadcasting Transport System, is a compact portable broadcast field unit that serves as an access point for digital / analog video, Audio, Intercom and multiple data formats from a remote (1Km to 10Km) location and transmits it over optical cable to the central production / transmission van. The ability to quickly reconfigure the cards in the field allows the user to customize the unit to meet their particular application. The availability of multiple line cards plus rugged design makes this the most versatile product in the market today.

The PBTS versatility, 4k capability, and customization ensure it can be configured to any industry or application needs. With different models such as the 500 series which has 6 customizable card slots, or the 2300L which has 14 slots and a monitor built right inside the rugged pelican case unit itself, the PBTS is a broadcasting necessity for concerts, television production, news reports, sporting events and more.

Vitex will be attending the NAB show this April at booth C6514 to show off this portable field unit that has been going viral in the broadcasting world this year. With 4k entering the market, and a broadcasting product that is unique in so many ways, the PBTS is the new wave of the future.
