Cyril Widdershoven to Present at the North Africa Petroleum and Security Forum

Concord, MA, November 22, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The North Africa Journal is pleased to announce the participation of Dr. Cyril Widdershoven to its upcoming conference, the 2008 North Africa Petroleum and Security Forum. The forum will be held in Houston, Texas on February 27, 2008.

Dr. Cyril Widdershoven has been a long-time observer of the global energy market. He is the current Principal Consultant on energy, utilities and chemicals issues at global consulting and advisory firm Capgemini, providing thought leadership to customers. Dr. Widdershoven earned his post graduate degrees at King’s College, University of London. He held several senior publishing positions in leading energy publications such as Afroil, Middle East Oil and Gas, and North Africa Oil and Gas Magazine Cairo. He was head of the Mediterranean Energy Political Risk Consultancy.

Dr. Widdershoven worked on M&A operations in Egypt, Libya, Sudan and Iran, studied the pipeline operators in Libya, Algeria, Nigeria and Turkey, and assessed risk for institutional investors and banks in Libya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Iraq, all while advising the Dutch government and international organizations on related issues. In earlier career assignments, he held the position of Senior Financial Analyst Oil & Gas Sector FDA, managing and advising the oil and gas department of the main pension and institutional investors, providing guidance on equity and bond markets, with the main targets being Shell, BP, Total, Eni, BG, Heerema, Fugro, DSM, DowChemicals, BASF, Statoil, Schlumberger, Halliburton, PSG, Repsol.
