MysterE Visions Ent. is Changing Up the Found Footage film
The producers of the found footage film “Camera Phone” are almost finished with the second installment of "Camera Phone 2." This time producer/director Eddie Brown Jr. has teamed up with horror filmmaker Meosha Bean and Australian filmmaker Andrew Cripps making the sequel more edgy and raw.
Dallas, TX, April 27, 2015 --(PR.com)-- This film takes a different approach to the found footage era with a twist. Even though the first film didn't receive a lot of press and make much profit, this did not stop Brown from writing a sequel that makes more sense. When approach the other filmmakers with the idea of a different look they jumped aboard.
Julie invited some friends over for movie night and she decides to show the indie film "Camera Phone." The DVD had come in the mail by mistake and she gets her friends to watch it with her. After they watched the movie they had mixed feeling about the movie. Then there was knock on the door and Julie goes to the door to discover there is no one there. On the ground is a package without a return address on it but its address to her. So when they open the package its 5 cell phones in the package and a note. This is where the reality and horror come in; the phones are from the characters of the Camera Phone movie. Each phone has a video on it and each student takes a phone and watches them as stated in the note. They will then learn curiosity does kill, when their lives become a part of the terror which is "Camera Phone 2."
Camera Phone 2 has been in production for over a year now with locations in Florida, Texas, and Australia. Using Canon cameras, Blackmagic Cinema camera, and some actual smart phone footage. The directors are making a storyline film with video footage in it. "This way we can make you feel the horror from a different prospective," Brown stated. The film has not set a national release date yet, but will be going to a few cities for promotion and by December there should be an official public release for the film in select theatres or VOD.
