Milton Keynes, United Kingdom, April 29, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Introducing Milifest 2015: the new festival and celebration for the Armed Forces. Music, sport, adventure and fun for all. No hype, no inflated prices. Just one amazing weekend.

Plus: rugby sevens, boxing, clay pigeon shooting, archery, zorb football, mud run assault course, survival camp and charity walks.

Milifest today announces the line-up for their inaugural festival, which takes place from Thursday 6th to Monday 10th August 2015 in the stunning grounds of Silverstone Woodlands.

Festival creator Nick Smart has set out to rewrite the festival rulebook by combining great music with top-level sport and activities, creating the UK’s first multi-faceted festival to challenge the status quo. Today, the organisers reveal the music headliners, plus all the sport and activities lined up.

Nick Smart, Founder and Creator of Milifest comments:
“We’re truly proud of our Service men and women, and Milifest will be a unique celebration for everyone in, and connected with, the Armed Forces. I wanted to bring something really fresh and new to the festival scene, and I think we’ve done just that. It will be a true summer festival experience and military celebration, packed full of music, entertainment, adventure and hi-octane sport.

“Most of all Milifest is about having the best weekend of your summer. There’s so much to do: watch, dance, play, compete – how much you get involved is up to you. Come and camp for the weekend, or just come for a day. We don’t believe in hype or inflated prices, and the range of low cost ticket options reflect that philosophy. What we do believe in is good fun, good causes, good times.”

Nick and his team promise five days of affordable fun for everyone connected to the Forces. Five days of music and sport, where everyone can join in and all are welcome. With top-level rugby sevens, boxing and zorb football, archery and clay pigeon shooting – plus survival camps, a ‘mud run’ assault course and charity walks – adding to the packed programme of music across three stages. Activities will combine to make the ulitmate sporting challenge – the Milifest Cup, awarded to the Service (Army, Navy, RAF) that wins the most points at the end of the festival.

The addition of one of the UK’s biggest career and resettlement zones, designed specifically to help former servicemen and women maximize their potential and secure a fulfilling civilian career, adds another unique dimension. The idea is to come for the fun, and leave with your dream job.

Milifest’s home is in the scenic Silverstone Woodlands site adjacent to the historic racetrack, with facilities to match the famous venue. Glorious countryside, majestic trees, endless skies: the perfect place for camping out under the stars, for music and entertainment, fun and adventure, sport and outdoor pursuits.
