The exhibitions offer an opportunity to view and acquire artwork, as well as meet the talented artists and/or knowledgeable show curators.

Jane Seymour: Up Close and Personal

The exquisitely talented actress and artist, Jane Seymour, visits Ocean Galleries for a Memorial Day exhibition, bringing an extraordinary collection of her latest oil paintings and watercolors. “Jane Seymour: Up Close and Personal” opens Friday, May 15 and runs through Monday, May 25, 2015.

Due to the popularity of the artist and her artwork, the exhibit will open for a special preview on Friday, May 15, a week prior to Ms. Seymour’s arrival, and will be open daily from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM in the Stone Harbor gallery until Thursday, May 21. The preview week offers an opportunity to view Jane’s artwork in an intimate and relaxed setting. A private reception prior to exhibition hours will be held Memorial Day weekend offering a unique exchange with the artist as she personalizes artwork acquired during preview week.

Beginning Friday, May 22 through Monday, May 25, the gallery will be open from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM for the “Jane Seymour: Up Close and Personal” exhibition. Gallery guests will have the opportunity to meet Ms. Seymour during receptions from 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM on Friday, May 22 and Saturday, May 23, and 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday, May 24.

Ms. Seymour began painting more than 20 years ago as part of a healing process for personal challenges experienced at that time. Since then, Ms. Seymour has emerged as an established and accomplished painter, creating an intimate world of delicate watercolors, colorful vibrant oil paintings, pastels, and bronze sculptures.

The Artwork of John Lennon

Ocean Galleries is thrilled to host an exceptional exhibition featuring the artwork of John Lennon. An unparalleled collection, “The Art of John Lennon” will be on exhibit and available for acquisition from Thursday, June 18 through Monday, June 22, 2015, with Ocean Galleries open from 10:00 AM through 10:00 PM daily.

Special receptions with the Collection Curator, Lynne Clifford, will take place from 7:00 PM until 10:0 PM on Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20, and from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday, June 21. Ms. Clifford, an authority on the artwork of John Lennon, will be in the gallery and available to the public; speaking on the exhibited works and providing insight into the history and stories behind the artwork.

John Lennon’s artwork celebrates human love and communication – two themes at the heart of his contribution to the art of the twentieth century.

Peter Max: A Tribute to America

Legendary artist Peter Max returns to Stone Harbor over the fourth of July weekend, bringing with him a never-before-seen collection of his greatest and most-revered imagery spanning four decades. “Peter Max: A Tribute to America” opens Friday, July 3 and runs through Sunday, July 5, 2015. Guests will have the opportunity to meet Peter Max at receptions: 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM on Friday, July 3 and 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Saturday, July 4.

One of the highlights of this year’s carefully curated exhibition will be his latest series of paintings in honor of the Frank Sinatra 100th Centennial Celebration. The exhibit also features his iconic and best-known pieces.

Victoria Montesinos: Passion of the Flower

Ocean Galleries welcomes Victoria Montesinos to Stone Harbor for her first exclusive art exhibition. “Victoria Montesinos: Passion of the Flower” opens Friday, July 31 and runs through Sunday, August 2, 2015. Ms. Montesinos will be at the gallery for receptions: 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM on Friday, July 31 and Saturday, August 1, and 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 2.

Montesinos creates a subtle topography for her floral universe. Most notable, she is able to achieve a nearly subliminal incandescence through a medieval method of applying gold leaf to the canvas before painting.

Alexandre Renoir: Modern Day Impressionism

Alexandre Renoir, the great grandson of the Master Impressionist Pierre-Auguste Renoir, returns to Ocean Galleries with his latest collection of artwork for Labor Day weekend. “Renoir: Modern Day Impressionism” opens on Friday, September 4 and runs through Sunday, September 6, 2015. Guests can meet Alexandre Renoir and watch him paint during receptions: 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM on Friday, September 4 and Saturday, September 5, and 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 6.

Inspired by his famous great-grandfather, Alexandre has created his own unique style of painting using impressionistic techniques.
