About The Animal Rescue Fair
The public is invited to attend the 15th Annual Animal Rescue Fair (ARF) on June 7th from 12pm to 5pm under the covered arena at Wills Park Equestrian Center in Alpharetta Georgia. This mega adoption event is hosted by two rescue organizations, Canine Adoption Network and SavetheHorses Rescue, whose mission is to rescue abused, starved and neglected animals.
This event features over 50 rescue organizations and humane societies from Georgia and surrounding states who will bring out their adoptable pets (dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, goats, etc.) to meet over 3,000 attendees that are searching for that special friend.
The public is invited to attend and bring their leashed or kenneled pet. There are many activities at ARF where your leashed friend can participate in such as a Pet Costume contest or the adopted pet Walk of Fame (pet parade.) There is also a dachshund race (small dogs of all breeds are welcome to participate.) ARF also features food, lots of raffle prizes, vendors, shopping, face painting, animal education and lots of puppy and kitten love.
Admission is free, but a donation of a bag of pet food is encouraged (dog, cat, horse) for Daffy's Pet Soup Kitchen and Fido's Soup Kitchen. They provide pet food and supplies to those in need during difficult economic times.
The event is sponsored in part by The Ian Somerhalder Foundation which is a charity founded by the CW's Vampire Diaries star and animal activist, Ian Somerhalder.
