)-- TechPoint, Indiana’s technology growth initiative, recognized Vennli as one of Indiana’s technology success stories during its annual Mira Awards gala on May 2 at the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis. Now in its 16th year, TechPoint’s Mira Awards celebrate the most innovative and successful technologies and technology companies in Indiana.
Vennli took home the Tech Services Award for IT to Support Go-to-Market. Vennli was chosen because the judges believe the company has a growth trajectory with no defined ceiling, which places them in a great position for rapid scale-up and significant sales growth. Vennli has applied technology in innovative ways that provide research, visualization, and prescriptions for companies to grow their businesses.
“It’s a great honor for our company to be recognized in such a way,” said Gary Gigot, Vennli’s co-founder and CEO. “We are proud to have our headquarters in Indiana, and we greatly benefit from the supportive tech environment that exists here.”
Vennli is a software-as-a-service platform that harnesses real-time customer insights and transforms them into growth strategies upon which leaders can take immediate action. Founded in 2013, Vennli is based on a proven model developed by co-founder Joe Urbany from Notre Dame and the software expertise of co-founder Gary Gigot, formerly of Microsoft and Visio.
Vennli has a built-in electronic survey that makes customer research simple and fast compared to traditional methods, and it presents the results in an intuitive way so businesses know exactly what to do to increase their competitive advantages.
Out of the 100 companies selected as nominees this year, 73 of them did not exist five years ago. Mike Langellier, President and CEO of TechPoint, said that this trend of new companies accounting for half or more of the nominees has been going on for three years in a row, and it’s a good sign of a thriving tech ecosystem.
“The Mira Awards amplify success stories of some of the very best Indiana startups, scaleups, and established tech companies,” Langellier said.
TechPoint honored 15 companies, entrepreneurs and educators on May 2, at the Mira Awards gala. Mira — Latin for miracle and a variable star thousands of times brighter than the Earth’s sun — represents the best of tech in Indiana each year.
"We’re honored to have won amongst such strong competition. We’re truly impressed with the level of talent, enthusiasm and quality coming out of the tech scene in Indiana,” said Pooya Ghiaseddin, Vennli’s Chief Product Officer. “We look forward to partnering with a number of the organizations recognized at the TechPoint event."
Forty-three independent, volunteer judges spent more than 700 collective hours reviewing and ranking the applications, interviewing the nominees and choosing the winners. Judges are primarily subject matter experts and experienced company founders and executives.
