Hoplite Industries, Inc. Announces Partnership with Cumulus Networks®

Bozeman, MT, May 06, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Hoplite Industries, Inc., a behavior-based threat detection and remediation company, today announced that it has joined the Cumulus Networks® Technology Ecosystem Partner initiative. The “TEP – SE” program is designed to accelerate IT innovation via ecosystem solutions, meeting a broad range of data center needs.

Hoplite’s Active Network Defense, AND software-only solution collects metadata from customer’s networks to provide real-time threat detection, remediation and notification using Hoplite’s unique threat intelligence database. Customers experience purely cloud-based security optimizing their network and critical infrastructure.

Hoplite customers can leverage Cumulus® Linux®, the operating system for open networking, for an open, affordable underlying network that enables unified automation, monitoring and management across servers and switches.

Hoplite’s comprehensive AND cloud security platform is powered by a patent-pending Behavioral Threat Detection Engine and backed by a Software-Defined Network (SDN) orchestration framework. AND brings security to SDN while providing forensic-quality visibility into network events and a means to adjust the security posture of commodity network components to block threats ignored by traditional security technologies.

“Today’s approach to data center security is not unified or automated,” says Anthony Cochenour, President, Hoplite Industries. “The weaknesses of typical network security infrastructure include putting the responsibility of coordinating breach-to-response process back on IT staff, making it difficult to deliver effective remediation of rapidly evolving threats using disparate security management tools. Furthermore, a multi-vendor breach response is complex and error-prone.”

AND automates data center network defenses via:
• Multi-layer visibility –> Multi-layer protection
• Provide meaningful context & control across multiple network infrastructure layers
• Orchestrates network components to deliver rapid, concise breach responses
• Standards-based and largely platform agnostic
• Public, Private and Hybrid Architecture

“We welcome Hoplite Industries to the Cumulus Networks TEP Program and look forward to offering our joint customers open networking-based solutions that automate security, accelerate innovation and improve economics in the data center,” said Reza Malekzadeh, vice president of Business at Cumulus Networks.
