Mobile, AL, May 10, 2015 --(PR.com)-- For people reading this laser tag is just a recreational game. For others a new sport is emerging and the fuel behind the new explosion in laser tag isn’t the traditional game played as kids in dark arenas with black lights.

The rise in popularity is coming from an obscure game called Tactical Laser Tag.

In the 1990’s an engineer designed one of the first commercial laser tag systems based on the U.S Military M.I.L.E.S gear. A system developed in the late 70’s to allow troops to practice live battle scenarios. Fast Forward almost 25 years and there are 100’s of new Tactical laser tag arena’s all over the world. (Growing at a rate of 1-2 per month in the US) They provide the everyday public with outdoor and indoor combat-based scenarios for entertainment.

Laser tag and the CMP

In addition to the entertainment value it brings. The Tactical laser tag industry supports the CMP (Civilian Marksmanship Program) which mandates the U.S government to maintain a ready and skilled civilian force. The entertainment by its very nature is a basic lesson in marksmanship and combat tactics.
